November 2016 President’s Message

Posted on Posted in BOD President, PresMsg

Greetings Everyone!

NEW AITP is “The Network that Supports You!” and your Board of Directors continues to work to provide our membership with the networking opportunities, educational programming, resources and conferences that you seek. November is our Member Appreciation month where we invite our members to come to our chapter meeting for an evening of entertainment, comradery and just a little bit of business. We’ll have plenty to talk about and share along with a fantastic comedian and maybe a few very nice door prizes to give away before the holidays!

We are now midway through our 2017 election cycle so if you haven’t had a chance to vote please do so!. An email asking for your vote was sent out to all active members on October 17th. If you didn’t receive it or misplaced it, please contact me so I can resend your original ballot in an email to you!

Last month was an epic month with NEW AITP hosting its October chapter meeting, the Technology Hub Conference and the AITP Region 5 meetings at the Paper Valley Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Appleton. We enjoyed having members of Region 5 attend our chapter meeting and conference. Attendees, sponsors and speakers expressed great satisfaction in the Technology Hub Conference event and are looking forward to its return next year. I wish to thank everyone who attended and participated in making the event one which was truly “Partnered for Success”.

Last Thursday I sent out an email to our chapter membership regarding the late breaking news of a potential partnership between AITP and CompTIA. The contents of that email will also be posted to our blog very soon  for your review. A special vote by the National Association Board of Directors is scheduled for 1:00pm CDT on October 31, 2016. Our NEW AITP newsletter will have the outcome of that vote. Please continue to visit the National web site (www.aitp.org) and our own web site (www.newaitp.org) for more information as the situation evolves!

As the holiday season gets underway, I want to wish everyone a happy, healthy and safe holiday for you, your families, coworkers and friends! And remember to please bring your spouse or partner and join us for November’s Member Appreciation meeting on November 17th to begin the celebration!
