June 2017 President’s Message

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

Greetings Everyone.

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend, spending time with family and friends and honoring those military veterans who have served and those who are actively serving today. I hope everyone will have an enjoyable and safe summer and keep NEW AITP in your minds and on your calendar. We will be having a Networking Social in Green Bay on June 21st and we’ll restart our NEW AITP chapter meetings in September. And dont’t forget to register and attend our Technology Hub 2017 Conference in Appleton at the Appleton Paper Valley on September 28th! Our theme this year is “Pardon the Disruption”.

CompTIA will be having some important announcements over the summer; please check your email for them. Summer also marks the time that the NEW Board begins the Fall NEW Board election process by reaching out to chapter members to become candidates. We have many opportunities this coming year and I invite you to become a leader within the chapter by submitting yourself as a candidate. If interested, please contact Chris Nimmer – Vice President, or any other Board Director for information.

And it is with a sad heart that I inform you of the passing of John Council on Sunday, May 28th. John was an active AITP family member and contributed in many different ways to AITP. He will be sadly missed. For more information, please visit our blog post.

Have a great summer, everyone!

–Jay Esty, NEW AITP President 2016-2017–

  1. Hey AITP Leadership,
This is Craig Herrell. I’ve moved over to a company called Central Office Systems (copiers and printers) in Appleton to lead their sales and operations for Northeast Wisconsin. We’re trying to find organizations like AITP to offer to host your monthly meeting in our Appleton location. We’d provide the food, a speaker, and drinks for the networking. If that doesn’t sound appealing but you’re still in need of speakers, please consider adding me to your speaker list. I hope to talk to Jay, or Carrie, or someone soon.
